Prep Classic Reaches out to Hurricane Victims
Pet Stop Pet Fence Systems will sponsor free ticket program and Red Cross Initiative
Pet Stop Pet Fence Systems, presenting sponsor of the 2005 Prep Classic, has announced it will provide complimentary tickets to the Prep Classic for residents of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama who have been affected by the tragic events of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, all students attending college in the Gulf Coast region will receive free tickets to the Prep Classic.
“We wanted to find some way to help the thousands of people enduring these extreme circumstances,” said Blaine Bacher, Vice President of Pet Stop. “While this will not change this week’s events, we figure a Labor Day Weekend full of football and fireworks in Cincinnati can take their minds off the problems and uncertain future back home.”
Pet Stop is one of the fastest-growing pet containment companies in the industry and is a subsidiary of parent company Perimeter Technologies, Inc., headquartered in Blue Ash, Ohio. It has gained a national reputation for its innovation and excellence in the field of pet containment technology. Several Pet Stop dealers in the Louisiana and Mississippi Gulf Coast area have been adversely affected, as the storm has completely wiped out operations indefinitely.
To receive the free Prep Classic tickets, residents simply have to present a valid drivers license from Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama at the ticket window. Students attending college in the affected Gulf Coast area will need to provide a valid school ID from a college in the region.
In addition, the Cincinnati chapter of the American Red Cross will be accepting monetary donations to directly aid the relief effort of Hurricane Katrina. Pet Stop employee volunteers will be manning the booth and will be stationed in front of Gate D at Paul Brown Stadium.
The Prep Classic, conducted by Reach Event Marketing, is the direct result of a concerted effort between Hamilton County officials, the Cincinnati Bengals, Anthony Muñoz Foundation, Marvin Lewis Community Fund and Cris Collinsworth ProScan Foundation to bring an annual showcase prep football event to the Greater Cincinnati area that features top prep football programs.
